The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team in a key leadership role. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to our manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety - Take personal ownership and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering our site safety roadmap.

  • Leadership and People Development - Provide leadership and development to a team of shift managers and department team leaders.

  • Drive Performance - Accountable for the creation, monitoring, and delivery of all manufacturing KPIs across the site.

  • Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis - Lead and develop the team through rigorous root cause analysis, implementing robust corrective and preventative actions.

  • Continuous Improvement - Promote a culture of world-class basics, achieved through disciplined adherence to 5S principles. Lead weekly Gemba walk activity, coaching employees on 5S, standard work, visual management, continuous improvement, flow, problem-solving, and other lean methods, techniques, and processes.

  • Planning - Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

  • Cost Control - Maintain a laser focus on cost control, determining the most cost-efficient methods of manufacture and managing resources efficiently.

  • Performance Management - Conduct disciplinary and grievance meetings as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience of managing large teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, project management, lean six sigma fundamentals, and financial acumen.

  • Demonstrable experience of creating and monitoring a suite of KPIs to improve business operational results.

  • Experience of building and developing an effective team through coaching and mentoring.
