Project Management Office Specialist at Aviva

We are seeking a Project Management Office Specialist to become a vital member of our talented team within Aviva's Group Transformation division. This team plays a key role in facilitating our change community's delivery and managing the change portfolio to realize Aviva's strategic objectives.

About the Role:

This position is both dynamic and multifaceted. You will be at the heart of our strategic initiatives, setting standards and providing essential tools, methodologies, and guidance. Your focus will be on steering programs towards stability by implementing the necessary governance, planning, risk management, issue resolution, and financial oversight.

As the Project Management Office Specialist, you will assist the Programme Director/Manager on intricate projects, concentrating on the primary PMO pillars (Governance / Planning / Risk / Financials) to:

  • Proactively detect deviations, trends, and challenges (Governance)
  • Address challenges/trends/impacts, identifying themes for further analysis (Planning)
  • Ensure modifications are managed within acceptable risk thresholds for seamless delivery (Risk)
  • Oversee investment expenditures and take required actions (Financials)
  • Engage regularly with local stakeholders across all change initiatives to provide effective assistance

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a PMO role with a proven record in delivering change
  • Self-motivated, capable of working autonomously and managing workload effectively
  • Adept at fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, collaborative, and proactive in streamlining processes
  • Proficient in essential change management tools such as Galaxy, PPM, JIRA
  • Ability to analyze and leverage data to support decision-making, with an understanding of IT and Business Portfolios and strategy
