The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager to support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities of its high-profile portfolio of clinical and applied health research infrastructure funding schemes.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Infrastructure team and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team to develop and implement strategies and solutions to embed new approaches to award-level data monitoring and reporting across the research infrastructure portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Annual Reporting Process: Support the management of the annual reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports.
- Reporting Innovation: Support the review and implementation of new approaches to annual reporting, leveraging data analytics and visualization techniques to enhance reporting outputs.
- Data Analysis: Analyze reporting outputs, providing insights and recommendations to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's or PhD degree in biomedical or health sciences research.
- Experience: Proven experience in research funding/management, with a strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles.
- Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to write reports and analyze data.
Desirable Criteria:
- UK Health and Care Research Landscape: Current knowledge of the UK's health and care research and policy landscape.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management within and across multiple organizations.
Additional Information:
This is a 12-month maternity cover position, advertised at 1.0 FTE. The role is office-based, with an expectation for all employees to attend our offices a minimum of 4 days a month. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package, including 25 days annual leave, enhanced contributory pension scheme, life insurance, and Benenden Healthcare.
