About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Connex - Warrington. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and adults with special needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with special needs, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support workers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Manage challenging behavior and de-escalate conflicts in a calm and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and participate in regular team meetings to discuss pupil needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to provide personal care and manage challenging behavior.
  • Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
