We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Support Assistant to join our Independent Reviewing Officers Service team.
About the RoleThis is a part-time, fixed-term contract opportunity for a period of 3 years, requiring 5 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, efficient, and effective Business Support services to an IRO, including remotely attending reviews for looked-after children and taking notes of those meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, efficient, and effective Business Support services to an IRO.
- Be efficient, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace relationships.
- Take succinct notes of complex meetings and use standard platforms such as Microsoft Office to create child-centered reports.
- Provide high-quality self-directed clerical support, checking own work and proactively looking to raise standards.
- Ensure deadlines are met and be adaptable to changing priorities.
- Work in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
- Work with sensitive information and maintain confidential records according to Essex County Council policy and guidance.
- Share knowledge and good practice with colleagues and highlight more efficient ways of delivering customer service.
- Present a positive and professional image for the organization.
- Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) including maths and English or an equivalent vocational qualification.
- Good communication skills, self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Confident and competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work to agreed timescales ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner to a high standard.
