Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in a manufacturing laboratory setting. The successful candidate will work in support of large-scale biological production campaigns, utilizing mammalian cell culture techniques and purification processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety policies.
Responsibilities
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for:
- Performing processes and operating equipment required for large-scale monoclonal antibody (mAb) production campaigns
- Maintaining equipment and troubleshooting as needed
- Understanding and following safety policies
- Working collaboratively with members of other departments
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- High school degree or equivalent
- BS in Biological sciences or a related field
- Previous experience in large-scale production or laboratory scale
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work, think critically, and take initiative
Technical Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate will have:
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Knowledge of the metric system
Physical Position Requirements
The Laboratory Technician will be exposed to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, and continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs.
