About the Role

Livewell Southwest is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Community Team as an Early Intervention Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who may be experiencing emerging mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Emotional Wellbeing: Provide assessments, targeted interventions, and advice and support to children and young people to promote their emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing.
  2. Early Intervention: Work with the CAMHS liaison practitioners to support children and young people where there is concern about emerging mental health issues or behaviours.
  3. Training and Consultation: Deliver training to community services and schools, and support the consultation process to the network or directly to the child, young person, and their family.
  4. Clinical Work: Direct clinical work with children/young people and their families, including work in schools and other community settings within a multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Core qualification in any Mental Health modality, such as Nursing, Social Worker, or OT, with at least 1 year's experience of working with children and young people in mental health.
  • Experience: Post-registration experience working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties, and experience and knowledge of mental health assessments, including risk management.
