About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team in supporting a young woman with a Brain Injury and Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal and domestic care, therapy exercises, and social and leisure activities to enhance the client's independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters, taking into consideration cognitive problems.
  • Liaise with and support the family as required.
  • Assist the client with personal care as needed.
  • Support the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events.
  • Follow the service user plan as documented for the client.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Dependable and professional - you value honesty and discretion.
  • Flexible and you work well under pressure.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS and enrol in the DBS update service.
What We Offer
  • 28.5 hours per week.
  • Plus 10 hours sleep in per week.
