About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lands and Planning Manager to join our team at Heidelberg Materials AG. As a key member of our Land and Mineral Resources Department, you will be responsible for managing property and mineral resources across all UK business divisions.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the cost-effective management of all land, property, mineral resources, and planning permissions within designated areas of responsibility. You will lead on designated acquisition and disposal of land, property, and mineral reserve projects, obtaining, maintaining, and implementing planning permissions and other permits as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing LMR expenditure on specific projects in line with budgets and other authorizations.
  • Implementing policy and strategy within LMR, in accordance with UK and group requirements.
  • Liaising with business lines at operational levels to ensure timely, efficient, and effective lands and planning advice and services.
  • Representing the company on external bodies and liaising with external stakeholders, as required.
  • Providing expert/specialist advice and support on planning, mineral, and land management issues.
  • Managing, reviewing, and making recommendations to the regional Land and Mineral Resources Manager on designated property transactions.
  • Maintaining appropriate property information and management systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent in property/minerals estates management/mineral resource planning or related disciplines relative to LMR activities at this level.
  • Chartered Surveyor or equivalent professional qualification from a relevant corporate body.
