Service Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our services, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, and maintaining the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver person-centered care, ensuring that our services meet the needs of our clients.
  • Manage staff inductions, shadow shifts, and ongoing training to ensure that our team members have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care.
  • Investigate complaints, safeguarding issues, and manage incidents and accident reports, ensuring that our services are safe and secure.
  • Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and annual appraisals to maintain quality and compliance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Complete and review support plans and risk assessments to meet individual needs, ensuring that our services are tailored to the needs of our clients.
  • Manage referrals from initial assessment to contract start date, ensuring a seamless process and high-quality service.
  • Work closely with the Office Manager to ensure accurate rota planning, covering gaps and absences, and maintaining a high level of service delivery.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, ensuring 24/7 support for our services and providing a high level of care and support to our clients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Health and Social Care.
  • A passion for delivering person-centered care, with a focus on meeting the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A high standard of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Equality and Diversity, and The Mental Capacity Act, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • A willingness to work towards a formal QCF qualification, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
