Overview

Are you a dedicated and qualified Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant? Do you possess a deep understanding of the requirements of SEN within primary education? Are you familiar with collaborating on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)?

Role Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced SEN Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary educational institution. The role involves working within a Key Stage 1 classroom, providing support to a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional physical needs.

This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the candidate's preferences. The initial contract is for a minimum of two academic terms, with the potential for extension for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the school's EHCP effectively.
  • Provide dedicated support to the student to enhance their learning experience.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Possess a Level 3 Cache/NVQ qualification.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Autism at Level 1.
  • Exhibit experience and knowledge in working with SEN students.
  • Build reliable relationships with the student to foster a supportive learning environment.
