About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Shooting Star Children's Hospices. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for managing a team of volunteers to maximize sales, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain the shop premises to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain the shop premises and assets to a high standard, adhering to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children's Hospices policies and procedures
  • Assist the Shop Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer engagement
Requirements
  • Experience in managing a shop, including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation
  • Administrative and cash handling experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting
