About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Shooting Star Children's Hospices. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for managing a team of volunteers to maximize sales, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain the shop premises and assets to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in managing the shop, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Lead a team of volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain the shop premises and assets to a high standard, adhering to health and safety legislation and Shooting Star Children's Hospices policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the retail team to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail management, including knowledge of sales, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Ability to lead a team and motivate volunteers to achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic IT skills, including EPOS reporting.
