Job Opportunity

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of ongoing major projects, including regeneration and development initiatives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with a strong understanding of commercial property matters within Local Government. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, negotiating, and advising on all aspects relating to regeneration projects and commercial property work
  • Representing the Authority's clients and negotiating with third parties on any commercial property related matters
  • Drafting, amending, and finalising legal documents crucial to a variety of property matters
  • Working on the Councils' ongoing property portfolio and large-scale land transactions and major redevelopment/regeneration projects
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Councils to deliver effective and efficient joined-up programmes, projects, policies, and initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified lawyer with a strong understanding of commercial property matters within Local Government. You will also need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
