Job Summary:

Venn Group is seeking a qualified lawyer to join a Local Authority in the Midlands as a Locum Commercial Property and Regeneration Lawyer. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial property matters within Local Government and will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and advising on all aspects relating to regeneration projects and commercial property work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, negotiating, and advising on all aspects relating to regeneration projects and commercial property work
  • Representing the Authority's clients and negotiating with third parties on any commercial property related matters
  • Drafting, amending, and finalising legal documents crucial to a variety of property matters
  • Working on the Councils' ongoing property portfolio and large-scale land transactions and major redevelopment/regeneration projects
  • Working with colleagues across the Councils to deliver effective and efficient joined-up programmes, projects, policies, and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer either via Solicitor, Barrister or experienced CILEX professional
  • Strong understanding of commercial property matters within Local Government

About the Role:

This is a full-time locum assignment with a minimum duration of 3 months, with likely extensions due to the nature of the work. The Organisation is seeking candidates with full-time availability, although applicants with 4 days per week availability will also be considered. A remote working arrangement is on offer, although office attendance once a month is encouraged.
