About the Role

Elevation Recruitment Group is pleased to be working with a leading hydrogen generator manufacturer to recruit a skilled Laboratory Technician.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Laboratory Technician to support the operation and maintenance of hydrogen generators and catalyst production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities and Equipment Management: Set up and prepare laboratory facilities, equipment, instruments, and materials for experiments or tests.
  • System Operation and Maintenance: Operate HMI systems to control hydrogen generators and catalyst production systems, perform maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to ensure operability, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Experimentation and Data Analysis: Assist engineers and scientists in conducting experiments, tests, and research projects, collect and analyze data, measurements, and observations using various tools and techniques.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record and document experimental data, observations, and results accurately and promptly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during experiments or tests, assist in developing and optimizing test systems, laboratory procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other team members or researchers to analyze and interpret data, comply with safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: GCSE or equivalent, technical college graduate or apprentice trained preferred, 3 years of experience as a lab technician in an engineering workshop or laboratory setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong work ethic, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in a diverse team, capable of operating and maintaining complex systems and test equipment, safety-focused, experience with operating PLC control systems and data logger systems, experience working with hazardous gases and liquids, knowledge of 5S principles, computer literacy.
