Job Title: Vehicle Preparation Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our team at Pybus Recruitment Ltd. As a Vehicle Preparation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained and repaired to meet the highest standards of quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair tasks
  • Utilize technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve faults
  • Test and inspect vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Suggest and implement improvements to processes and procedures
  • Work on electrical and mechanical systems, including inspecting components for wear and tear
  • Repair and replace parts as needed
  • Check vehicle subsystems and ensure they are functioning properly
  • Liaise with customers as necessary and provide excellent customer service
  • Support other technicians in the workshop

Requirements:

  • The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
  • The capability of working to the highest quality standards
  • Great team player and communication skills
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping
  • Prior experience in working to efficiency targets
  • A full UK driving license
  • Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable but not essential
  • VOSA-approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
  • Must hold Level 2 / Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
