IT Support Technician / Second Line Helpdesk Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician / Second Line Helpdesk Engineer to join our busy service desk team based in Egham, Surrey. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, resolving 2nd line technical support requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support to business users, resolving technical issues and queries
  • Monitor and maintain IT hardware, software, networks, and other IT infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and modify IT hardware and software
  • Ensure timely software upgrades and updates
  • Set up and configure equipment, including PCs, laptops, iPads, mobile devices, and data projectors
  • Assist users with branch software or hardware problems
  • Perform basic server diagnostic routines and ensure server backup policies are working
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues with Microsoft 365 operating systems
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in IT support roles
  • Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
  • Experience working with IT support ticketing systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 desktop operating systems and Windows Server operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • Basic troubleshooting experience of networking devices
