Windows Server Team Manager

Vocative Consulting is seeking an experienced Windows Server Team Manager to drive our vision for Windows Servers. This exciting new role will be involved in the delivery of new IT capabilities across the organisation, including Platform Modernisation and migration to Hybrid Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the Windows Server Team, setting targets for the team and managing resourcing within the team.
  2. Report accurately against progress and escalate risks and issues to an appropriate level for resolution or mitigation.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Windows Server technology and use this to bring to life the roadmap.
  4. Manage disaster recovery, data protection, and high availability features of the Windows operating system.
  5. Provide technical support and implementation expertise in a similar field.
  6. Monitor and manage the status of the environment, reporting on performance and capacity.
  7. Plan and organise resources to balance immediate and longer-term goals, prioritising demand based on operational and business activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in a technical support and implementation role.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing disaster recovery, data protection, and high availability features of the Windows operating system.
  • Experience of monitoring and capacity management.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
