As a Vice President specializing in Generative AI, you will be instrumental in optimizing our AI products powered by large language models (LLMs). This role involves collaborating with various teams, including the ML Centre of Excellence, AI Research, and Cloud Engineering, to drive innovation and create solutions that deliver significant returns on investment (RoI). You will be responsible for designing scalable APIs that can handle extensive requests efficiently, promoting a collaborative environment where other teams can leverage these APIs to develop their own ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate extensive data resources with advanced AI technologies, including LLMs and multimodal models.
  • Merge scientific research with software engineering expertise.
  • Work closely with cloud and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to lead the design and implementation of production architectures.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Experience in a hands-on role within ML engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing teams of skilled ML engineers and scientists.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, optimization, and ML theory, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) and/or computer vision.
  • Practical experience in developing distributed, multi-threaded, and scalable applications using frameworks like Ray, Horovod, or DeepSpeed.
  • Ability to align technical objectives with business goals and articulate clear OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
  • Experience in overseeing ML services within enterprise settings.
  • Solid understanding of computer science principles and software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively share technical concepts with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) with tools like Kubeflow or DVC.
  • Ability to create batch and streaming microservices exposed via gRPC or GraphQL.
  • Proven experience in fine-tuning models efficiently, including quantization techniques for LLMs.
  • Hands-on knowledge of advanced prompting strategies such as Chain-of-Thoughts and Tree-of-Thoughts.
