Chorley, Lancashire, United Kingdom Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Full time

Job Overview

This is a remarkable opportunity to become a part of the Renal Home Therapy Service. We are currently seeking a Band 5 staff nurse for a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves the continuous education and training of patients, their families, and caregivers on peritoneal or home haemodialysis, empowering them to manage their dialysis independently at home.

You will be expected to operate within both the hospital-based training unit and the community setting, which spans a wide geographical area. The unit's operational hours are from 07:00 to 18:00, with shifts scheduled from 07:00 to 15:00 and 10:00 to 18:00, Monday through Friday. Additionally, the service provides an acute drop-in service for home dialysis patients and an out-of-hours on-call advice service available seven days a week.

It is preferable that candidates possess current relevant post-registration experience within the renal specialty, particularly with haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis.

Essential travel is necessary due to the extensive community coverage.

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and can thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The position requires collaboration across both sites of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

The unit offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and development for any staff nurse eager to acquire new skills and take on leadership roles.

Training needs are comprehensively supported, and you will be encouraged to pursue your professional development.

You will be embraced and supported by a dedicated team that is passionate about delivering exceptional care.

We are a welcoming team and invite anyone considering a career with us to reach out for an informal discussion about the opportunities we provide.

Working for Our Organization

Joining our team gives you the satisfaction and pride that comes from knowing your contributions significantly impact our patients and staff, helping us to continue delivering outstanding healthcare across our local communities.

You will have access to diverse development opportunities, learn new skills, connect with wonderful colleagues, and engage in experiences that will enhance your career path.

You will make a difference, be encouraged to think innovatively, and help drive improvements in patient care and experience, making your role both pivotal and rewarding.
