About the Role:

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical panels containing PLC's and LV distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical systems, including electrical panels and cabling.
  2. Work with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  3. Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  4. Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental legislation.
  6. Work towards achieving security clearance to SC level, and possibly DV.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree or HND with additional experience in project implementation.
  2. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  3. Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring.
  4. Ability to mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
  5. Thorough understanding of BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  6. Understanding of IEC BS EN Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
  2. Understanding of EMC practices.
  3. Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
  4. MEng qualification.
  5. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
