About the Role:

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical panels containing PLC's and LV distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical cabling and containment systems.
  2. Work with production to see designs through to completion.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams.
  4. Develop technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
  5. Ensure compliance with BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and IEC BS EN Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant degree or HND with additional experience on project implementation.
  2. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
  3. Ability to achieve security clearance to at least SC level, and possibly DV.
  4. Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring.
  5. Ability to mentor and develop engineers and technicians.
  6. Good working knowledge of related safety and environmental legislation.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
  2. Understanding of EMC practices.
  3. Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
  4. MEng qualification.
  5. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
  6. Site experience (survey/install).
