We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at North East Autism Society (NEAS). As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to autistic and/or neurodivergent young people and adults in our Supported Living service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide bespoke round-the-clock care and support to individuals in their own homes and in the community.
- Assist with personal and household tasks, meal preparation, and accessing healthcare services.
- Support individuals to engage in activities they enjoy, such as hobbies, sports, and social events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Participate in comprehensive induction, training, and mentoring to develop skills and knowledge.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of individuals.
- Compassion, empathy, and understanding of autism and neurodiversity.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
