Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Pindar House, a 22-bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility for men affected by acquired brain injury.
As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide assessment, advice, and treatment to individuals with acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' communication needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address swallowing and communication difficulties
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, OTs, physios, psychologists, and psychiatrists, to achieve person-centered goals
- Supervise and manage another SLT who works in the service on a full-time basis
- Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- Current registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
- Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists)
- Experience of managing acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes
- Experience of eating, drinking, feeding, and swallowing assessment and management
