Job Title: Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
About the Role:
Cygnet Pindar House is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. As a skilled SLT, you will provide assessment, advice, and treatment to individuals affected by acquired brain injury. You will work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists to achieve person-centered goals and support each individual in their planned outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, advice, and treatment to individuals with acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support individuals in achieving their goals.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Supervise and manage another SLT who works in the service on a full-time basis.
Requirements:
- Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
- Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
- Experience of managing acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
- Experience of eating, drinking, feeding, and swallowing assessment and management.

Selection Criteria:
- Applicants must have a degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Applicants must be currently registered with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
- Applicants must have membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
- Applicants must have experience of managing acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
- Applicants must have experience of eating, drinking, feeding, and swallowing assessment and management.
