About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care. As a Specialist or Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, advice, and treatment to individuals with acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with acquired brain injury to identify their communication needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on communication strategies and techniques to support individuals with complex communication needs.
  • Develop and implement swallowing and feeding programs to support individuals with dysphagia and other swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement person-centered care plans that address the individual's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Supervise and manage other Speech and Language Therapists to ensure high-quality care and support.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury and complex communication needs.
  • Experience in swallowing and feeding assessment and management.
