About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Lettings Officer to join our Housing Operations department at Midland Heart. As a leading housing organisation, we own 34,000 quality homes for affordable rent across the region, and our goal is to ensure that these homes are lived in and loved for the maximum time possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer the process for re-letting of empty properties to minimize void loss and achieve high re-let times.
- Allocate properties in line with Midland Heart standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring support needs are identified to sustain tenancies and working with Asset Management to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Work with maintenance to ensure customers move in as soon as the property is ready to let, in accordance with the void standard.
Requirements
- Demonstrate previous experience in a customer-facing role, either dealing with customers face-to-face or over the phone.
- Demonstrate experience of handling and resolving customer complaints.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve targets within tight timeframes.
