Lettings Officer

We are seeking a skilled Lettings Officer to join our Housing Operations department. Our goal is to ensure that our homes are lived in and loved for the maximum time possible, by achieving re-let times that are amongst the best in the housing sector.
Please note, we are recruiting for two temporary positions for this role - we have both an 8-month contract and a 6-month contract available.
As a Lettings Officer, you could play a key part in achieving this by:
- Coordinating and administering the process for re-letting of empty properties so that homes are empty for the shortest period possible.
- Allocating properties in line with Midland Heart standards, policies and procedures; ensuring support needs are identified to help sustain tenancies and working with Asset Management to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Minimising void loss by working with maintenance to ensure customers move in as soon as the property is ready to let, in accordance with the void standard.
Our ideal candidate?
- You'll demonstrate previous experience in a customer-facing role, either dealing with customers face to face or over the phone.
- You'll demonstrate experience of handling and resolving customer complaints.
- You'll demonstrate the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external customers.
- You'll demonstrate the ability to achieve targets within tight timeframes – we set ourselves tight targets for re-let times and out tenants expect a prompt and efficient service.
