About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team at Axalta. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive cost savings and improve efficiency in the procurement of pigments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency
  • Manage direct material spend of $100+ MM
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and drive cost savings
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to inform procurement decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree a plus
  • 8-10 years of total Procurement experience, including 5 years of strategic category management experience
  • 2-3 years' experience working in global teams
  • Relative experience in pigments, understanding of the global supply base, and procurement experience in pigments a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • System experience, Sales Force, Ariba (desired, not required) and SAP is required
  • Bilingual English with Spanish or Portuguese a plus
