Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading masonry specialist to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The company has a proven track record of assisting both large and small, award-winning house builders, providing bespoke quality across their comprehensive range of specialist stone masonry services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Fully understanding project contracts and ensuring project costs reflect these.
- Preparing project costs using Schedules of Rates and sub-contractors quotes.
- Maintaining a full understanding of the developing project and amending costs to reflect this.
- Identifying and highlighting risk and working with the project team to eliminate/reduce this.
- Preparing accurate project Cost Value Reconciliations and reporting these at staged valuations and final account.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the following skills:
- Renovation
- Refurbishment
- Restoration
- Heritage
- Construction
- QS
- Quantity Surveyor
- Management
