Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading masonry specialist to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The company has a proven track record of assisting both large and small, award-winning house builders, providing bespoke quality across their comprehensive range of specialist stone masonry services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Fully understanding project contracts and ensuring project costs reflect these.
  2. Preparing project costs using Schedules of Rates and sub-contractors quotes.
  3. Maintaining a full understanding of the developing project and amending costs to reflect this.
  4. Identifying and highlighting risk and working with the project team to eliminate/reduce this.
  5. Preparing accurate project Cost Value Reconciliations and reporting these at staged valuations and final account.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Excellent understanding of project contracts and costs.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
