About the Role

The Assistant Care Manager is a key position within our team at Home Instead, responsible for ensuring our clients receive exceptional care and supporting the growth of our business. This role requires a strong team player who can work closely with our Care Manager to provide guidance and support to others at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Care Manager with day-to-day management of client care and the team, ensuring seamless delivery of our services.
  • Identify training needs and follow up on auditing activity, ensuring actions given to others are completed effectively.
  • Complete Service Reviews and Quality Assurance, identifying ways to grow our business and improve our services.
  • Assist with client acquisition and initial client setup, developing strong relationships with our clients and their families.
  • Develop good working relationships with our care professionals, providing quality introductions and guiding others on best practice.
  • Support with medication, moving and handling, and support visits with care professionals, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of care.
  • Provide care for clients as required, being part of our on-call rota and responding to client needs at all times.
  • Have a thorough understanding of and belief in our business model, maintaining and upholding our company standards and ethos.
  • Ensure compliance with our Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
  • Be a face of our business, increasing potential business growth through networking and building relationships with our clients and their families.

Person Specification

We are looking for a positive role model with a warm, friendly, and cheerful personality who enjoys speaking to people. The ideal candidate will have:

Team leader/supervisor/manager experience (minimum 3 years), with a proven track record of team working and leadership.Ability to write care plans to a high standard, with excellent commercial business awareness.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to cope with a fast-changing environment.Smart, professional appearance, with a can-do/will-do attitude.Reliable and resilient individual, with a clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and a driving license.Ability to use a variety of technology, with a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working within current legislation.

Working Arrangements

The Assistant Care Manager will work 5 out of 7 days on a rota system, which will include alternate weekend work. We encourage applications from all sections of the community, as we want to reflect the neighborhoods in which we work. Home Instead is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure.
