UK Financial Leadership Opportunity

Grafton Banks Limited, a leading financial services company, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead its UK finance team. This is a newly created role that will be responsible for the end-to-end completion of UK management accounts and statutory accounts.

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong accountant with experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and month-end accounting. They will also have excellent communication skills and be comfortable managing small teams. The role will involve working with stakeholders across the business to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transactional finance and cost accounting teams
  • Prepare and submit UK management and statutory accounts packs
  • Manage finance operations, including Capex, reconciliations, and postings
  • Complete and reconcile intercompany balances
  • Work with budget holders to analyze performance vs. budget and report key drivers of performance and spend to the Senior UK and Group Finance Team
  • Assist with project finance and ensure smooth project execution
  • Complete and submit required returns to external parties, including ONS, Intrastat, VAT, and P11D
