As the Practice Director at Grove Lodge Veterinary Hospital, you will be responsible for driving business development, ensuring the highest standards of care and service, and overseeing financial performance. Your leadership skills will be essential in guiding a team of 17 Vets, 28 Nurses, and a Support Team to achieve our goals.

Key responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Take ownership of the practice's financial performance, ensuring achievement of EBITDA targets as outlined in the Practice Budget and Business Plan.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including HR, health and safety, GDPR, financial, and security protocols.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Develop and execute a marketing plan, monitor its results, and work with the leadership team to plan and promote practice events.
  • Team Leadership and HR: Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to all employees, ensuring regular appraisals and maintaining a positive, supportive workplace culture.
  • Culture and Values: Act as an ambassador of our culture, values, and employer brand, fostering an environment where our teams can thrive.
What we're looking for

We are seeking an individual with at least five years of management experience, preferably within a commercial and service-driven environment. While experience in the veterinary industry is an advantage, it is not essential.

Working pattern

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week with no weekend or out-of-hours work. We are happy to consider part-time or flexible working patterns for the right candidate.
