Residential Support Worker

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment that enables young people to thrive and reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide direct support and care to young people, including key working and daily living activities.
- Work collaboratively with young people, their families, social workers, and other agencies to ensure their needs are met and their transition to adulthood is smooth.
- Coordinate, monitor, and review care plans for allocated young people, preparing them for greater independence.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
- Conduct administrative tasks and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities and daily home operations.
- Empower young people to take control of their lives, making informed decisions and taking responsibility for their actions.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
- Meet the daily needs of young people, including personal care and household responsibilities.
- Contribute to maintaining the house, including practical activities and upkeep.
- Care for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the house.
- Manage allocated funds for specific purposes.
- Report repairs and ensure necessary actions are taken.
- Act as a role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
- Stay up-to-date with good practice, developing skills, knowledge, and experience through a personal development plan.
- Utilize regular professional supervision to enhance performance.
- Report any malpractice or concerns to a line manager or appropriate person.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.
- Be flexible to work at other properties as directed by management.
- Legally allowed to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Experience working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
- Level 3 Diploma or above (or currently working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care).
- Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
- Ability to drive with a full and clean license.
- Smart and agile to handle daily needs and activities of young people.
