Heating Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you a skilled heating professional with a strong focus on quality assurance? We are seeking a dedicated Heating Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our operations at Bromford.

In this role, you will report directly to the M&E Heating Service & Repair Programme Manager, responsible for executing thorough audits and evaluations. Your duties will encompass both desktop and on-site assessments of heating services, ensuring adherence to our established standards.

You will collaborate with the leadership team to audit gas services provided by our internal team, partners, contractors, and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with quality benchmarks and relevant regulations.

As part of your responsibilities, you will assist the M&E Customer Delivery Manager in delivering Toolbox Talks on technical updates, safety alerts, and industry news, while also investigating gas-related incidents to mitigate future occurrences. Compliance audits will be conducted in accordance with landlord obligations under gas safety regulations.

As a qualified heating engineer, you may also engage in repairs, maintenance, and installations during peak demand periods. Effective workload management, maintaining high standards, accurate record-keeping, and interdepartmental collaboration will be essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for candidates who have successfully completed a recognized apprenticeship, holding at least an NVQ Level 3, along with substantial experience in the installation, commissioning, repair, and servicing of domestic gas appliances. A solid grasp of Health and Safety Regulations and proven experience in construction site management within a customer-centric environment is essential.

Required qualifications include:
  • Core Gas Safety Training Certificate CCN1
  • SSCS Certification or equivalent
  • Recognized Renewable qualification
  • Level 3 Gas Audit qualification
  • CMDDA - Fumes investigation
  • Unvented systems qualification
  • Core Commercial Gas Safety COCN1
  • Health & Safety qualification
In-depth knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations, the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure IGEM/G/11, and CDM Regulations is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required. Flexibility in working hours and adaptability to various environments is also expected.
