Heating Quality Assurance Engineer

Are you a skilled heating professional with a strong focus on quality assurance? We are looking for a dedicated Heating Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our team at Bromford.

In this role, you will report directly to the M&E Heating Service & Repair Programme Manager, ensuring thorough audits and evaluations of heating services. Your responsibilities will include performing both desktop and on-site audits across multiple regions, verifying adherence to our established policies.

You will play a vital role in supporting the leadership team by auditing gas services provided by our internal team, partners, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring that all work aligns with quality standards and complies with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

In collaboration with the M&E Customer Delivery Manager, you will conduct Toolbox Talks covering technical bulletins, safety alerts, and industry updates, as well as investigate gas incidents to mitigate future occurrences. Compliance audits will also be part of your duties, ensuring adherence to landlord responsibilities under gas safety regulations.

As a qualified heating engineer, you may also engage in repairs, maintenance, and installations during peak periods. You will be responsible for managing your workload effectively, maintaining high standards, keeping accurate records, and working collaboratively with other departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

We seek candidates who have successfully completed a recognized apprenticeship with at least NVQ Level 3 and possess extensive experience in the installation, commissioning, repair, and servicing of domestic gas appliances. A solid understanding of Health and Safety Regulations and demonstrable experience in construction site management within a customer-centric environment is essential.

The following qualifications are required:
  • Core Gas Safety Training Certificate CCN1
  • SSCS Certification or equivalent
  • Recognized Renewable qualification
  • Level 3 Gas Audit qualification
  • CMDDA - Fumes investigation
  • Unvented systems qualification
  • Core Commercial Gas Safety COCN1
  • Health & Safety qualification
Comprehensive knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations, the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure IGEM/G/11, and CDM Regulations is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to various environments is essential.
