Senior Clinical Oncologist for Colorectal Cancer

The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is looking to recruit a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a focus on Colorectal Cancers, specifically within the Lanarkshire Colorectal and Regional Anal Cancers framework.
Since its inception in May 2007, the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre has established itself as Scotland's largest cancer treatment facility, having undergone significant investment totaling £110 million. This comprehensive cancer centre serves a diverse population of approximately 2.9 million across four Health Board areas, and is part of a larger network that includes the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research and the forthcoming Translational Research Centre.
The centre is equipped with cutting-edge technology, featuring 11 linear accelerators with onboard imaging capabilities. Our offerings include advanced treatment modalities such as Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), and Stereotactic Radiotherapy. Additionally, we utilize Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) to enhance the delivery of IMRT. A newly established brachytherapy unit complements our services, alongside a satellite centre that addresses local radiotherapy needs.
As an internationally recognized academic institution, the Beatson is home to esteemed Professors specializing in Medical Oncology, Clinical Oncology, Translational Research, and Palliative Care.
The Clinical Research Unit at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is the largest of its kind funded by Cancer Research UK, providing vital support for clinicians to initiate and conduct pioneering clinical trials. Our extensive portfolio includes Phase I-III studies across various cancer specialties, with a particular emphasis on the development of innovative anti-cancer therapies.

Applicants are required to possess full GMC registration or eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register. UK trainees should provide evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to CCT, or be within six months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK candidates must demonstrate equivalent training.
