Race Equality First is a leading charity and race equality council based in Cardiff, Wales, dedicated to promoting equality and combating discrimination. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Training & Engagement Officer to join our team.

About the Role

The Training & Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in delivering training and awareness-raising sessions to communities and organizations across Wales. Reporting to the Training Manager, you will be instrumental in promoting our initiatives, including those focused on gambling harm awareness in Black and Ethnic Minority communities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver training, workshops, and presentations on cultural diversity, hate crime, discrimination, and other topics across the UK.
  2. Identify training needs, develop programs, and deliver sessions via in-person workshops, webinars, and other mediums.
  3. Design and manage online training and assessments on our training portal.
  4. Organize community engagement sessions, manage attendance, and gather data for reporting.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should bring:

  1. Experience in delivering community activities, training, and awareness-raising sessions.
  2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present effectively and produce concise reports.
  3. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, work independently, and as part of a team, and meet deadlines.
