We are currently working with a major player in the social housing sector, Sovereign Network Group (SNG), to find a talented individual to fill the role of Chief Investment and Development Officer.

About the Role

The Chief Investment and Development Officer will be responsible for leading SNG's development of new homes and the regeneration, improvement or replacement of the homes and settlements that it already owns and manages.

This is a hybrid role, with the successful candidate working closely with the Chief Financial Officer to develop a clear and future-proof investment strategy that is both effective and sustainable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, with experience in housing, property development, or the construction industry, operating at Executive Board level or similar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic investment plan that aligns with SNG's vision and goals
  • Lead the development of new homes and the regeneration, improvement or replacement of existing homes and settlements
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to develop a clear and future-proof investment strategy
  • Recommend and operate within agreed tolerances for risk management
  • Foster innovation and new practice, and build relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in housing, property development, or the construction industry, operating at Executive Board level or similar
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, and to work closely with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend and operate within agreed tolerances for risk management
