About the Role

Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its development and investment efforts. As Chief Investment and Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategic asset management plan and driving the development of new homes and the regeneration of existing ones.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading large-scale development and strategic asset management functions, with a deep understanding of the social housing sector and its complexities. You will be responsible for developing a clear and future-proof investment strategy, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer to balance social impact against risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new homes and the regeneration, improvement, or replacement of existing homes and settlements
  • Define strategy and direction for the Development and Asset Management functions
  • Develop a clear and future-proof investment strategy, balancing social impact against risk
  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to maintain a capital allocation framework
  • Recommend and operate within agreed tolerances
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in housing, property development, or the construction industry, operating at Executive Board level or similar
  • Demonstrable success in building relationships at the highest level across a range of key stakeholders
  • A history of fostering innovation and new practice
  • Exemplary leadership skills, fostering a culture of inclusiveness and diversity of thought and approach
  • Comfortable networking within and outside of the social housing sector to ensure the development of positive partnerships
