About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Activity Coordinator at Cottenham Court Care Home in Cambridge. As the chief fun officer, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and joy-filled atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans to promote social interaction and well-being among residents.
  • Organize and lead morning and afternoon activity sessions, including arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and other events.
  • Collaborate with care teams to create tailored activity plans that cater to residents' interests and abilities.
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to organize days out and events at the home.
  • Support residents with one-to-one activities, such as reminiscing, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Assist with social media management to promote the home's activities and events.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, care teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Passion for creating engaging and inclusive activities that promote social interaction and well-being.
  • Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including alternate weekends.
