Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sports and Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Link3 Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports and a desire to work within a secondary school setting, providing mentorship and support to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide One-on-One and Group Mentorship Sessions: Offer guidance and support to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.
  • Assist in Planning and Delivery of Sports-Related Activities: Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create and implement sports-related programs within the school.
  • Support Student Development: Help students develop positive behaviour and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Work closely with teachers and other school staff to create personalized support plans for students.
  • Monitor and Track Student Progress: Regularly monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a Positive Role Model: Promote teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship, serving as a positive influence on students.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualification: A Level 2 qualification in a sports-related discipline (e.g., sports coaching, physical education).
  • Experience Working with Children: Experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring, or educational setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Safeguarding Principles: Understand and commit to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of secondary school students and the school environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work school hours and occasional evenings to support Parent's Evenings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Level 3 Qualification or Higher: A Level 3 qualification or higher in a sports-related discipline.
  • Experience with Behavioural or Learning Needs: Experience working with students with behavioural or learning needs.
  • First Aid Certification: First Aid certification.
  • Additional Sports or Physical Activities: Knowledge of additional sports or physical activities.
