Finance Manager Opportunity

Gifford and Partners, a fast-growing SME near Harrogate, is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to drive management accounting and support strategic decision-making.

The Role

The Finance Manager will be a key member of the business's financial operations team, responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and providing valuable insights to inform business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Partner with department heads to provide financial insight and support business planning.
  • Drive continuous improvements in management reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing critical analysis and recommendations.
  • Oversee a small team, mentoring and developing their skills to enhance overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting standards.
Requirements:

We are seeking a qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with proven experience in management accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally within professional services, is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data with ease are also essential.
