Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial stability and accuracy of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Flow Management: Conduct thorough cash flow forecasting to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage month-end financial journals, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts to maintain accuracy and prevent financial discrepancies.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Accruals and Prepayments: Manage accruals and prepayments for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Oversee fixed asset management and tracking, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and valued.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handle sales invoices, including credit control and receipt allocations, as well as process purchase invoices, including statement reconciliation and payment runs.
  • Credit Card Management: Analyze and manage credit card transactions, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded and approved.
  • HR Administration: Provide administrative support for HR functions, including sickness, recruitment administration, and other related tasks.
Requirements
  • Accounting Experience: Proven experience in an accountancy position, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • HR Administration: Previous experience within HR administration would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Technical Skills: Capable of handling sales and purchase invoices, credit card analysis, and other accounting tasks using financial software and systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong organisational and time management abilities.
