Job Description

As a key member of the Informa PLC team, the Global Intercompany Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the effective delivery of intercompany teams. Reporting directly to the Global Centre of Excellence Lead, this strategic leadership position will oversee the evolution of the Informa Intercompany model to operate efficiently within the control framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building effective KPIs to ensure that control is maintained across Informa, managing intercompany processing, settlements, and reconciliations in accordance with the company's balance sheet framework. This role will also involve providing strong leadership to the intercompany team, guiding them to contribute to the success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Monitor intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monthly preparation and review of performance dashboards, identifying necessary actions to resolve areas of under-performance.
  • Work effectively with internal and external auditors.
  • Flag any control risks within the intercompany and instances of fraud to the EMEA Regional Controller.
  • Ensure the team is resourced and trained to deliver the Intercompany model.
  • Lead on improvements in Intercompany, across technology, processes, and policies.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure requirements are met for transitions, projects, and BAU operations.
  • Build and develop an efficient and effective team, recruiting and retaining the best people for the job.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, motivate, and manage the intercompany team.
  • People development to ensure the effectiveness of all colleagues within the team, concentrating on both performance and soft skill development.
  • Planning and prioritizing the work within the team, ensuring resource management is considered.
  • Participate in Recruitment & Selection processes.
  • Provide assistance in identifying career development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Actively support a culture of team engagement.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with several years of post-qualified experience.
  • Good knowledge of intercompany processes, financial control principles, and accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of working in a global business environment with a sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Good working knowledge of dealing with mergers, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Good working knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
