Job Description

Amentum (UK) LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our major project located in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements, and ensure the design and safety intent is met.
  • Construction Management: Ensure construction work is undertaken to specification, and implement safe working methods.
  • Documentation Management: Assist with the production and delivery of documentation for the work-pack, and ensure it is supervised, checked, and accepted in accordance with relevant specifications.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with designers, technical experts, and construction personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Resource Management: Produce forecasts of resource and labour requirements, and work with construction managers to allocate appropriate resources.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction personnel comply with Amentum procedures and project-specific procedures, and maintain quality assurance programs.
  • Basic Project Management Skills: Interface between cross-functional personnel, including schedule, cost, and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree qualified or HNC/HND in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar position, ideally in a highly regulated environment.
  • Skills: Excellent written communication skills, working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, and organisation skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience: Experience working in nuclear decommissioning.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of applicable UK nuclear regulations, standards, specifications, and test practices.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work in an office and construction environment, with 75% of the time spent on site and 25% working from home. Visits to work partner or supply chain premises may be required.
