About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Orion Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, management, and monitoring of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement construction project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate site operations, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including asbestos management and risk registers.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Industry-standard qualification in construction or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
  • Exceptional awareness and understanding of construction environment, safety, and health regulations and legislation.
  • Hold a Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
  • Hold an appropriate industry-recognized safety scheme card (e.g., Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Manager's card, Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) Safety Passport card or a suitable equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
