As an Overnight Patient Flow Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the Emergency Department, working collaboratively with various teams to facilitate the efficient movement of patients through the Majors and Minors sections.
Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks with minimal oversight, serving as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors in the Majors/Minors area.
It is essential to monitor patient progress within the department and maintain accurate records.
Given that this position is situated in a frontline clinical environment, you will encounter patients who may be in distressing or critical conditions.

Role Specifics
This position presents an opportunity to support the out-of-hours administrative team in the Emergency Department.
We seek a motivated individual to join our administration team as a Patient Flow Administrator. This vital role involves coordinating activities within the Emergency Department alongside our Medical, Nursing, and Site Management teams.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a pleasant telephone demeanor. You must handle confidentiality matters with care and provide exemplary customer service. Accurate documentation and record-keeping are critical to ensuring safe patient care.
With approximately 105,000 annual attendances, the Emergency Department is a dynamic and engaging workplace that thrives on teamwork. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional interpersonal abilities who is proactive and eager for a challenge.
The successful candidate will demonstrate composure under pressure and possess experience in interacting with the public, including those in distress. A flexible work approach and the ability to thrive in a busy environment with minimal supervision are also vital.
